The materials primarily excavated by these machines include soil, coal, silt and sand, as well as pre-loosened soil and rock. Trends in the construction machinery sector over recent years show rapid development for excavators, establishing them as one of the most essential types of machinery in construction projects. The three most critical parameters for an excavator are operating weight (mass), engine power, and bucket capacity.
In 2025, a total of 118,500 excavators were sold domestically, representing a year-on-year increase of 17.9%.
