Domestically produced concrete mixer trucks utilize a power take-off (PTO) system driven by the vehicle's main engine. The PTO mechanism extracts power from the engine-activated via a control switch-and transmits it through the hydraulic system to drive the mixing drum. The drum rotates in the forward direction during loading and transport to facilitate material intake and mixing, and in the reverse direction during discharge; the power connection to the engine is disengaged once operations are complete.
Hydraulic System
This system converts the engine power extracted by the PTO into hydraulic energy (flow and pressure) and subsequently into mechanical energy (rotational speed and torque) via the hydraulic motor, thereby powering the rotation of the mixing drum.
Reduction Gearbox
This unit reduces the rotational speed output by the hydraulic motor before transmitting the drive to the mixing drum.
Control Mechanism
(1) Controls the direction of the mixing drum's rotation, ensuring forward rotation during loading and transport, and reverse rotation during discharge.
(2) Controls the rotational speed of the mixing drum.
