HOWO NX 6×4 5.8m Dump Truck

The 6×4 drivetrain gives the truck two driven rear axles. This is useful when the truck is carrying a loaded body on construction roads, inclines or uneven surfaces.

The chassis uses a lightweight 7/280 frame, while the suspension has reinforced multi-leaf springs with a 10/12 configuration. This combination is intended to provide sufficient support for regular heavy-load operation without using a more complicated suspension system.

The truck is equipped with 12.00R24 tires, giving it a relatively large tire specification for construction and material-hauling applications.

The powertrain uses a MAN-technology engine matched with a HW25712XAC manual transmission.

A HW50 direct-drive PTO is installed for the dump-body hydraulic system. The manual transmission is a familiar setup in many markets and can be convenient where local workshops are accustomed to conventional heavy trucks.

The exact engine output can vary depending on the original vehicle configuration, so the final engine plate and vehicle documentation should be checked before purchase.

At the front is an HDB55 self-adjusting front axle. The rear uses an HDZ425QGY self-adjusting tandem axle.

The tandem rear axle arrangement works together with the 6×4 drivetrain, providing two driven rear axles for better traction than a 4×2 configuration.

The front and rear suspension uses reinforced multi-leaf springs, with 10 leaves at the front and 12 at the rear according to the listed configuration.

For a used or stock truck, the spring packs, U-bolts, axle housings and suspension mounting points are worth checking carefully. These components can show signs of heavy use before other parts of the vehicle do.

The dump body is approximately 5.8 meters long and 1.6 meters high.

This size is suitable for common construction materials such as sand, gravel, soil and demolition materials. The actual payload should always be determined according to the material density, axle capacity and local weight regulations.

For example, a body filled with loose soil and the same body filled with crushed stone can result in very different actual weights. A larger body does not automatically mean a higher legal payload.

 

The truck uses a domestic steering gear and a lightweight 7/280 frame.

For construction applications, frame condition is particularly important. When inspecting a used vehicle, look for cracks, deformation, corrosion and signs of major welding repairs around the main frame and cross members.

The steering system should also be checked for excessive play, leakage and abnormal resistance during operation.

The front and rear axles use self-adjusting braking systems. The 12.00R24 tire specification provides a solid contact area for construction and material transport work.

Before delivery, the tire sidewalls and tread should be checked for cracking, uneven wear or other damage. On a used dump truck, unusual tire wear can sometimes indicate problems with alignment, suspension or axle components.

 

 

The HOWO NX 6×4 5.8m Dump Truck is better suited to customers who need a conventional 6×4 work truck rather than a small urban tipper.

Its two driven rear axles are useful for construction sites and material transport where road conditions are not always perfect. The 5.8-meter dump body also keeps the truck reasonably practical for local and regional hauling.

For long-distance highway transport, a tractor-trailer combination may be more economical. For repeated loading, hauling and dumping cycles around construction sites, a 6×4 dump truck is generally a more natural fit.

Before purchasing a used or stock vehicle, check the engine for abnormal smoke, oil leaks and unusual noise. The manual transmission should shift normally without excessive noise or gear jumping.

The rear tandem axle deserves particular attention because it handles both driving force and a large part of the loaded weight. Check the axle housings, seals and differential area for oil leakage.

The hydraulic cylinder, PTO, hydraulic pump and hoses should also be tested through a complete dumping cycle. Finally, inspect the dump-body floor and side panels for serious deformation, cracks and excessive welding.

These checks give a much better picture of the truck's working condition than exterior appearance alone.
