Operation and Maintenance Guidelines
1. Pre-Departure Inspection
Complete a full trailer inspection before daily operation to ensure zero faults before departure. Check brake air pressure and airtightness of air pipelines to eliminate air leaks. Inspect tires for standard pressure, intact tread and normal wheel temperature. Verify the locking state of the traction pin clips and hydraulic outriggers.
Additionally, check frame welds and cargo floor for deformation or cracks, and confirm all strapping hooks and tensioners are intact. Ensure vehicle warning lights and reflective markings function normally and are undamaged.
2. Loading & Unloading Standards
All loading operations must follow center-of-gravity alignment rules. Containers require four-point simultaneous locking, while bulk cargo and steel materials shall be evenly distributed on the deck. Overloading and uneven loading are strictly forbidden.
Coiled steel and irregular heavy cargo must be firmly secured with tensioners, cushion blocks and binding straps to prevent sliding during transit. Loading and unloading must be carried out on flat, hard ground with the tractor handbrake engaged. Avoid concentrated heavy impacts on the floor to protect the trailer's load-bearing structure.

3. Driving Operation Standards
Adopt graded speed limits for safe driving: maximum 90 km/h for standard loads, and below 80 km/h for heavy steel and container cargo. High-speed sharp turns and emergency braking are prohibited to prevent cargo displacement and vehicle overturning.
Reduce speed in advance on curved, wet and slippery road surfaces. On long downhill sections, control speed via tractor gears and braking, avoiding prolonged use of trailer brakes. Maintain a low constant speed on rough unpaved roads and evade potholes and road protrusions.
4. Routine Maintenance & Upkeep
Perform standardized periodic maintenance to extend the service life of the lightweight flatbed semi-trailer. Every 5,000 kilometers, retighten the chassis U-bolts, kingpin base bolts, and landing gear mounting bolts, and remove dirt and debris from the chassis; simultaneously, conduct a thorough inspection of the welds on the main beams, gooseneck, and cross-members to check for cracks.
Replace brake pads and inspect wheel bearings for wear every 100,000 kilometers. Regularly lubricate moving parts such as the kingpin and landing gear hinges. For trailers operating in coastal areas with salt spray or in humid, rainy regions, apply anti-rust coating to the chassis quarterly to prevent corrosion damage.
