Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) are widely used in various types of equipment within the lifting and hoisting industry. Compared to traditional controllers, they offer several advantages: (1) powerful functionality and high cost-effectiveness; (2) comprehensive hardware support, user-friendliness, and strong adaptability; (3) high reliability and strong interference immunity; (4) reduced workload for system design, installation, and commissioning; (5) minimal maintenance requirements and ease of repair; and (6) compact size and low energy consumption. Application Characteristics

Industry Requirements
The lifting industry places high demands on the interference immunity of PLC network components. Factors such as salt spray and dust in port environments, or high temperatures and dust in metallurgical settings, can impact equipment performance; consequently, the use of coated circuit boards is required.

 

Application Areas
With the exception of lower-end metallurgical bridge cranes-where adoption rates are relatively low (as small-to-medium products often rely solely on low-voltage electrical components)-PLCs are utilized across virtually all other products in the sector.
