Rated load refers to the weight the vehicle can carry under normal operating conditions, determined primarily by its load-bearing capacity and torque output.
Maximum Tractive Force
The maximum tractive force refers to the maximum pulling power the tractor unit can generate; this should generally align with the vehicle's actual operational requirements. Exceeding these requirements not only increases fuel consumption but also accelerates issues such as tire wear.
Traction System
The traction system comprises components such as the drivetrain, differential, drive shafts, and universal joints. The drivetrain must adapt to varying operating conditions-whether towing or cruising-while the differential requires effective limited-slip capabilities. Additionally, drive shafts and universal joints must be capable of withstanding high torque loads and significant articulation angles.
Braking System
The braking system is a critical safety feature; it must enable synchronized braking between the tractor unit and the trailer while providing sufficient braking force to ensure operational safety. Furthermore, the system must be reliable and stable, capable of performing effectively under challenging conditions, such as on steep gradients.
Steering System
The steering system is a key factor influencing cornering and handling stability; it should offer excellent stability and precise control. It must also be capable of adapting to varying road surfaces and driving conditions to ensure both safety and ride comfort.
