HOWO 371HP 6×4 Tipper Truck

The truck is powered by a 371 HP Sinotruk diesel engine and matched with a Sinotruk manual transmission.

With two driven rear axles, the 6×4 chassis provides useful traction when the truck is carrying a full load. This is especially relevant on construction roads, gravel surfaces and moderate slopes where a 4×2 truck may have difficulty maintaining traction.

The vehicle uses a 16-ton heavy-duty rear axle. Together with the double-layer frame, it gives the chassis a configuration suited to regular loaded operation.

The frame uses an 8+5/300 double-layer structure.

This type of frame is commonly used on heavy dump trucks where the chassis needs to cope with repeated loading and unloading cycles. For a used or stock unit, the frame should still be inspected for cracks, deformation and previous welding repairs.

The truck is fitted with 12R22.5 tires and a 300L fuel tank. Tire condition is particularly worth checking on a used vehicle, as uneven tread wear can sometimes indicate suspension or axle problems.

A 5.6-meter ribbed dump body is installed on the truck.

The body can be used for sand, gravel, soil, construction materials and similar bulk cargo. The ribbed structure is intended for regular loading and unloading work.

The actual payload should be calculated according to the density of the material and the legal axle-load limit in the destination market. For example, wet soil can be considerably heavier than dry material even when the body volume is the same.

This HOWO configuration is aimed at customers who want a traditional mechanical dump truck rather than a highly complicated specification.

The HW76 cab is a familiar HOWO design, while the manual transmission, steel-bridge setup and leaf-spring-based heavy-duty chassis are relatively easy for many local workshops to understand.

For construction sites, local aggregate transport and earthmoving, the combination of 371 HP, 6×4 drive, 16-ton rear axle and 5.6m dump body gives the truck a practical working setup.

For this type of truck, the condition of the mechanical parts matters more than a fresh-looking exterior.

Check the engine from a cold start and look for abnormal smoke, oil leakage or unusual noise. The gearbox should shift normally without excessive noise or jumping out of gear.

The rear axle, frame and suspension should be inspected carefully because they take a large share of the load during dumping operations. The hydraulic system should also be tested through a complete lifting and lowering cycle.

Before export, confirm the emission standard and vehicle specifications with the destination market. China II vehicles may face different import or registration requirements depending on the country.
